in the cars i've driven, after taking the key out of the ignition, i just had to move the steering wheel a little to the right or left and it locked.

just got a 02 lx. with the wheels straight ahead, the steering wheel doesn't lock with the slight movement. i have to turn the wheel almost one half revolution either way before it locks and my wheels end up turned. this doesn't seem right. has anyone had this issue? what did you do?

My lock engages almost right away if you move the steering wheel slightly. I don't think it's such a big deal if you have to turn yours a bit more.

This may be a old question but does the steering wheel lock on Civics with manual transmissions?? Mine doesn't, but then I haven't turned my wheel half way around. Just wondering.....

I've got manual, and mine locks almost immediately when I turn my steering wheel after parking it.
