Bump stop split in half

Both front bump stops around my struts are split. The top portion is hanging where it should and the bottom half just sits down at the bottom of the strut piston. I imagine it would still do its job, or no? I'm about to change the struts, should I wait and order $30 for 2 bump stops?

image showing where it's split: http://screencast.com/t/iEFq3uJU

thanks

If you take it easy on her, you should be good until the change if it's soon. No more 90mph speed bumps!

Because $30-40 and wondering if the old ones will still be doing their job just the same.

The large tube part (dust cover) falling off isn't necessarily a big deal IMO, as long as the upper part of mostly solid rubber that actually does the job of protecting from bottoming out the strut is still intact.

Lol, yeah, but just don't want the mindset of "I Got away that other time, maybe the tie rod and ball joint are not as important as the stops either "

I'll just run with the old ones I guess. Yeah, also the steering wheel fell off a while back, but I just threw a vice pliers on there instead. It works.
