NewGirlProblems🙄
NewGirlProblems🙄
Good evening, so today I went get my brother from work in my 2005 Honda civic lx it has about 114,000 miles on it all of sudden the gears started acting funny like it was stalling and not going into gear, we got close to home and had to push it home, so we put the code reader on it and it said P0730 and we we looked it up not we did notice the valve stem real loose and not secure we ordered another one, we wasn’t sure if it was low so we put the name brand transmission fluid inside it took 2 quarts we started it up and drove it just up and down the street but the engine light is still on, I need help guys and some advice I have my baby that rides with me, my car is parked now, I can put it in drive and reverse and it drives, is there anyone is Houston Texas that can provide some knowledge on this would help, nervous about bringing it to a transmission shop

but all of sudden like that, it just came outta no where, we thinking about bringing it to eagle transmission in friendswood tx, I thought it needed fluid, how much you guys think a tranny cost, rebuilt or new. I appreciate yall I’m new to all this

You'd have to price it out because I haven't in a long time. The car's low enough mileage that it's probably worth doing, but if a shop's putting in something they'd warranty (rather than another questionable unit from a junkyard/partout), I'd guestimate that you're spending at least $1500-$2000.
