Little back story first. 2004 civic ex auto. 156k miles Car was running fine and then all of a sudden started getting a false neutral when taking off. It only happens sometimes. It got worse at red lights I would have to shift back to 2nd gear to get the car going. Never got a check engine light code!

now: car sat for 4-5 months. Started it up today. Got a p2770 code and Drive light blinking. When shifting to drive it made a loud clunk and acted very slugish and would barely move. In 2nd gear it moved fine? Could this code have been causing problem all along with false neutral? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve read up some on p2770 already.

Has the fluid ever been replaced?
