I have an 02 Civic ex. Manual transmission with about 220k. Whenever I let go of the gas I feel and hear short bursts of rumbling. My car also shakes and makes noise when I reverse on non level ground. Not sure what is causing it was hoping to find some guidance here

It rumbles as soon as you let off the gas and then stops or continues to rumble as you slow down?

Does it sound like it's in front under the hood? The rear? Under you?

It stops for a second then continues, in short bursts. Sounds like it's directly in front of me. When in reverse if I'm not riding the clutch it's constant

Check your exhaust heat shields. They like to break and rattle when they get old and rusty.
