Short in plate and tail running lights
Short in plate and tail running lights
Hi all, I have a 2003 honda civic and there seems to be a short. It keeps blowing fuse when I turn on the headlights.(the tail running light fuse). I have brakes and reverse working but thats it.
i will be trying to rewire the tail lights tomorrow from the fuse box as I think it would be best option at this point. Im just curious to know what you guys and ladies might think.

Re: Short in plate and tail running lights
Do you mean fuse 2 (15A) in the under-hood box?
I would strongly suggest trying to find the short instead of rewiring. That fuse (and relay) go to more than just the taillights.

Re: Short in plate and tail running lights
That fuse supplies power for the taillight relay. It controls the dash lights, front parking lights, front side marker lights, license plate lights, taillights, and even has something to do with the multiplexer.
