keyless entry not working after successful programming

Hello,

My keyless entry system is not working. Some time ago my battery went flat and afterward, I was not able to get my keyfob to open the doors to the car.
I successfully reprogrammed the keyfob. I even heard the sounds of the lock system responding during the process.
However, the keyfob still doesn't work.

Two things:
1. This might be a red herring, but is that there is an LED indicator next to the side view mirror controls (shown in the photo) which I believe was constantly illuminated before the battery went flat and now it is not.
It does flash during keyfob programming. I am not sure what this led indicator is for.
2. The system used to flash the emergency indicator lights if the key rather than the keyfob was used to enter the vehicle. This doesn't occur anymore.

My car is a Honda Civic Sedan 2002 (European/Japanese version - not sure which).

Red led indicator. Flashes during key fob programming.

that is an aftermarket alarm - you need to find out the maker and find instructions for it.

So the LED indicator is part of that system? Does this alarm system affect the operation of the door actuator system?

Re: keyless entry not working after successful programming

I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX. The keyless entry worked fine until a month ago. I thought the battery in the fob could be weak so I replaced it. The little indicate light on the fob comes on when lock/unlock buttons are pressed. I've tried numerous times to reprogram the fob. It will not enter the program mode. I've followed the instructions correctly.
I even when to the local wrecker and got two other Keyless Entry Modules to try. None would enter programming mode.
Any ideas on what could be causing the issue?
