Keyless Entry
Keyless Entry
I put a new battery in my keyless entry remote (battery is still good) about 2 weeks ago. It ransomly stopped working one day on my way to class. Worked 5 minutes before but not now. It makes no sounds when I hit the lock/unlock or flashes the lights so I am assuming its not transmitting or recieving. Any clues?

Since it is intermittent most likely the transmitter. The next time it won't work hold the button and gently flex the remote, keep the button pushed to see it this triggers it to lock/unlock or start working. You could have poor connection at the battery terminals or a cold solder connection.
If you want to trouble-shoot I can send some pages from the manual that may be of help.

That would be cool if you could send over some material to read. I tried rocking the buttons. It just doesnt seem to want to work at all. BTW Im an idiot there is a tiny led light, and it is not lighting up when i press the buttons. Granted I have had the car for about a year and never noticed it. Maybe the stuff you have on it will help me fix it or at least let me know if I have to get a new one
i had both of my remote replace mine did those too and had to program it myself because those people at Island Honda couldn't do but the manual for do it is in the manual but my car was under warranty so i got the remote free
