Replace gauge cluster?

I have a 2001 Civic DX. My speedometer is stuck at 0. I'm pretty sure its the gauge since the ODB2 reader shows the correct speed (And the odometer goes up).

Since I am going to replace the gauge cluster, can I replace it with one that has a Tachometer? My current gauge cluster doesn't have one.

Also, if I replace the gauge cluster, will the Odometer show the wrong reading?

I think as long as you use a cluster from 01-03 it should just plug in and work. Obviously the mileage will be wrong, depending on where you live you may have to document the different mileage

01-02 cluster. They gave the cluster a facelift in 03.

The 03-05 cluster works if you wanna re-pin your gauge cluster plugs. I planned on doing that but never got around to it.

Luckily I ordered a 2001 cluster. Thanks.

Also, do you know how easy it is to set the correct the mileage on the odometer? Do I need to take it to a mechanic to do?

Re: Replace gauge cluster?

I think you have to find a specialized shop. That was one of the things holding me back on the cluster swap project

Thanks, I'll try to find a shop to do it.
