so i recently engine swapped my 2001 lx with a d17a from japan and in order to use vtec i need to swap ecu’s but the problem is i don’t know what ecu to use. can i use the ecu from the ex or ex or will it cause problems because the ecu for a d17a has an extra connection and i don’t know if i leave it unplugged if it will not work.I NEED HELP

use the EX.
Changing ECU will require somebody to program the key to new ECU. Anit-Theftsystem
