Hello, please help!



I have a 2003 Honda Civic Coupe LX Coupe.

I purchased the car with no key fob(s). It will not go into programming mode following the turn ignition on, press lock on fob, turn ignition off method, repeat. I have tried multiple times and different variations. I am also trying with an OEM Honda key fob, and an aftermarket fob, both no luck.



During research, I found a thread with an individual of a similar issue. Within the thread, it stated that the driver switch unit may need to be reset as it is linked to the keyless entry. This makes sense as being an issue because my automatic windows do not work. With that being said, after following the window switch reset procedure(s). My windows switch will not reset to automatically go up/down.



Ultimately, I just want my car to go into program mode so my key fob will work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The LX trim didn't come with keyless entry from the factory. It was available as a dealer installed option but I don't think it was that popular. I wouldn't expect your car to have the key fob receiver. The module (if installed) is located behind and above the 12V outlet.

been more than 15 years ago, but i think my old LX did not have keyless entry either
