Turned off while driving on freeway.
Turned off while driving on freeway.
I have a 2001 Honda Civic HX that turned off on me. I was driving on the freeway using cruise control at 80mph with the AC on when my car just randomly turned off on me. I stopped on the side of the road and it started back up. I decided to have it towed back home and i found that for sure i need a new starter and a electrical load detector but other than that when i get the car to turn on it runs perfect. I dont think a starter or the ELD would cause my car to turn off by itself. I also had a bad battery terminal which i replaced after but when my car turned off my music was still playing so i don't think it was the battery terminal and my battery is charged and fine. I tried checking the main relays behind the glove box, but when I looked behind the glove box instead of having four like i seen other people have, I only had three and the spot where the fourth would go had the hole to put it in but it doesn’t have the metal pins that would actually make it work. I can hear my fuel pump priming too so im lost. I can drive my car but i dont want it to randomly turn off on me again.
