Weird Bogging When Cold (Video) [solved]

Hey guys, new here. My dad's 2005 Civic started having this problem. It only happens in the beginning, but once the car is warmed up it's gone. It feels like the engine is bogging, and sometimes to the point where it drops completely but the car doesn't turn off. Ignore the whining noise, that's just the failing power steering pump. You can kind of hear the engine mini bogging.

UPDATE 1/11/2023
The problem turned out to be a faulty coil pack.

How many miles? When were the plugs done?

About 250k miles. We bought new spark plugs because we thought that was the problem. But I don't think the spark plug wires haven't been changed, except for one.

Wires don’t get replaced since it has coil packs. If you only did one I’d replace them all and check the gap on the new plugs. NGK or Denso no Bosch plugs.

I see. Yeah that’s what I meant, only one coil pack was replace a while ago. Should I really just replace all of them? Can’t I do tests to see which one isn’t working? Also, since it only happens when it’s cold, can that still be a coil pack issue? Shouldn’t it be consistent all throughout?

I’m talking about the spark plugs.

So you did replace all 4 spark plugs and 1 coil pack?

Yes typically a bad coil pack will stay bad and you check them by unplugging them and seeing if the engine runs worse.

Hey, sorry for the late reply but it turned out to be a faulty coil pack. Thanks for the help!
