Proper throttle cable position?
Proper throttle cable position?
I tightened up my throttle cable, but I think that I over did it.
The CEL comes on as soon as the car is started, but goes away if I drive 50 miles down the road - but comes back on after leaving the car off for a hour and starting it. (immediately restarting the car when the CEL TURNED off did not trigger another CEL)
anyone have a proper diagram of how this needs to be? my RPM is sitting right at 950-1k at idle

Re: Proper throttle cable position?
What fault code? Is it for high idle?
Re-adjust the throttle cable. It should be just barely loose. As soon as the pedal is pressed it should tighten up and begin opening the throttle body.
