Major misfire or fuel problem

Hello, 2004 Honda Civic 1.7 Vtech misfires when accelerating but is fine once car gradually gains speed. touch the throttle it misfires over and over again. acts like it is running out of gas. jumps and jolts forward. take your foot off accelerator runs okay. starts at about 3000 rpm. stopped a traffic light, car died, turned over and over again. press throttle it started. slowly press throttle its okay, press throttle like you mean it, misfires and wants to stall. Unplugged each coil at idle cylinder 1 and 2 engine idle changed but 3 and 4 did not change idle when coil unplugged. installed coils from another Honda,... no change in cylinder 3 and 4's engine idle. not sure if this is fuel or spark issue??????
PLEASE HELP, PLEASE REPLY

thanks

Re: Major misfire or fuel problem

Is the check engine light on? What faults? You could do a fuel pressure test to rule that out.

Re: Major misfire or fuel problem

No engine light. so far number 2 cylinder fault, changed coil, fault gone on code reader, now a cam shaft sensor code, gonna start by "cleaning" the sensor there is alot of oil around it, will keep you posted, could need a new sensor. thank you for the reply
