I got a P0131 code on my civic 03
What can I do to fix this? Preferred not to replace the sensor, as my family needs money. Any quick repairs possible? It's the 02 sensor 1.

temporary fix? O2 sensor defouler.
google it
find the correct one to fit your car. 03 uses the wideband sensor, so you would be out 250 on the sensor. I can understand the pain.
Temporary solution, mind you

You can find the wideband sensor for around $100 online just make sure you buy a genuine part (Denso/ntk) and not a fake one

03 is narrow band, about $30-$40 for NTK/Denso.
A spacer wouldn't fix the P0131 just replace the sensor.

ouch, true, somehow my brain linked it to cat.
fouler works for failing cats, not sensors. and anyway he have a sensor 1, so upstream cat.
also, mixed model years. I think 03 had the thicker front struts, but not o2 sensors

I charged the battery and the light went away lol. Should I still be worried about it?

Ive driven the car for a little now about 2 hours total and the light hasn't turned back on. How about then?

Get a scanner and check the readiness monitors, maybe you got lucky
