Unkonwn Problem. Ticking noise , civic 2005 196k
Hi,
I bought this 2005 civic a few days back. It's cold here in this part of the US so that the heater was on while test driving. Due to this reason, I didn't hear a periodic noise comes around the engine.
Can someone suggest to me what it could be? I have attached a bad quality video file. But the audio is okay. Also how do I check the timing belt is okay or not. Any easy way to do that.

if you don't know when the belt was last changed you need to get that dealt with as soon as you can, use honda parts, belt, tensioner, and waterpump.
the belt is overdue by the age and mileage of the vehicle and its basically a ticking time bomb.
the valves should be checked as soon as you can as well because you could wear out parts prematurely, however it's ok for a little bit
