I need to do the head gasket on my daughter's 04 LX sedan automatic. My regular guy, a former Honda technician, is doing the job. I'm going to order the parts but wanted to make sure this kit includes everything needed. Apologies for the question but I cannot find the details anywhere I've looked.

I also need this fast, so I'm going to order for 2-day delivery in hopes of getting this done next weekend.

Should include the gaskets you can see in box #1, plus valve stem seals.

Ask the person who will be taking it apart?

From the head gasket link in my sig. Part numbers are slightly different, but should contain (basically) the same gaskets and seals. The only difference I found between the VTEC gasket kit and the gasket kit is the intake manifold.

12210-PZ1-004 Valve Seal A (x8)
12211-PZ1-004 Valve Seal B (x8) (They lumped all 16 seals in the same bag, and they were all visually the same, so I'm sure the seal a's are the same as the seal b's. From the drawings, it looks like "a" is for the intake side, and "b" is for the exhaust side valves. Regardless, you get 16 total valve stem seals)

When I made that thread, I didn't even think that the -a1 and -a2 would have different gaskets. I updated my thread to reflect differences in part numbers accordingly.

I really appreciate the effort you put into that thread. Extremely helpful. We just did the HG in our 04 Civic LX sedan and I'm happy to have all of the overheating issues behind us.
