My key stopped working in the ignition, no way to turn it around. So I removed it with an angle grinder. I turn the remaining of the starter and the starter motor works. But I probably have to connect some of these
wires. to start the engine. As it stands now, the car does not start, so I assume some wires in these green sockets have to be connected? Or is the problem somwhere else? I have all the wires from the green sockets hanging loose.

Re: Hotwiring problem
There's an immobilizer chip in the key that's picked up by an antenna in the ignition switch.
congrats on ruining your car......
Go to the junkyard and get the key, ignition switch, and computer from another civic. Needs to be same year range (04-05), same engine (VTEC/non-vtec), and same transmission (auto/manual).
If you don't grab all 3 components from the same car you'll need to take the car to the dealer to get programmed
You can bypass the the ignition portion of the switch but it still won't start unless the immobilizer is able to read the key. If a known key isn't read the ECU disables fuel and spark.
