Exclamation CVT problem

Hello everyone,
something strange happened to me the other day.
I was driving my car on a freeway, got out of it to refuel, while I was on the ramp to reentering in the freeway the car’s RPM suddenly reached above 3500, like when accelerates on N mode. Basically the car stops to engage the gears while shifting. I mean, letteraly the car from that moment is like on NEUTRAL, no matter what do I do. The car turns on, the engine runs,
the shift moves and when it move it,the dashboard recognize the different “modes” and show when I move on P,N,D,S,L but physically is doesn’t engage.
I already check the transmission fluid and it’s fine. NO CODE OR DASHLIGHTS CAME OUT, not even a noise or something, The only thing that happened was that, when I was exiting
the freeway, once at the stop sign, when I accelerated the car’s front tires both shaked at the point that I had to release the gas pedal and press it again in order the mover forward.

anyone have any idea of what it could be?
please if you need any other detail feel free to ask.
thank you for you help

Re: CVT problem

No odd noises when it happened? First thing I thought of was, "that... might be a broken CVT belt..." but that would cause noises.

how many miles on it? If it's under warranty, I'd bring it in.

edit: saw you have a '16. Proooobably not under warranty anymore. How did you check the tranny fluid?

No noise when it happened although I have to say that I had the stereo on but the volume was not so high. While I was driving suddenly the car started to behave as if I had moved the gear lever to N, all of this while the car was actually moving.I checked the liquid level as per manual ... I unscrewed the bolt that is slightly higher than the bolt to drain the liquid to see if a thread of liquid came out by unscrewing it.
could be something like that it doesn’t have enough pressure inside the cvt?

Re: CVT problem

CVT is a complicated animal, recommend taking to dealer and see what they say (If it sounds odd, you don't need to do the service)
wait, it does not move?
