hey fellas. Would really appreciate any help. Not very mechanically inclined and would like some guidance. 2019 Honda Civic EX. Only at 11K miles. Decided to do an oil change and rotate my tires this morning. Got the skid plate removed and noticed some oil on the inside of the skid plate right below the oil drain pan. Thought it was probably the bolt not torqued down correctly as I had the dealership do my first oil change, and u know how that usually goes with techs not giving a crap about a customers vehicle. Anyway, it wasn't the drain bolt as it was torqued already over 30 Ft/ibs as with was verified with my digital torque wrench.
Anyway, after looking closer at the engine I actually saw oil or what looks like oil coming from the CV boot directly above the drain pan. I know the boots have grease inside and no oil, so I don't know where it is coming from? It's not very much oil and perhaps it is residual oil that spilled from when the dealership did my oil change but I am not sure. Car has barely 11K on her so this is kind of frustration and worrying me. I have provided some pics. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks!
I appreciate the feedback. Sorry-Did not mean to offend. I've just had bad experiences with dealerships and mechanics in the past. Had some cosmetic issues when I bought my Civic and had to bring it back 4 times as the techs made it look worse then what it previously was. I've also specifically told advisors that my wheel lock is in the cup holder, only to come back to damaged wheels as the tech used some universal wheel lock key and had to pry it off to get it out off the lug. That's just a few of my "bad" experiences.....
