hello so i am a new Honda owner. I just picked up a 2017 Civic SI coupe.
So I have had in the shop already for the drivers door lock freezing. So i am a NW Washington resident so winters are not usually that bad but again after having the door lock mechanism replaced just last week, it froze again this morning. Now it was 28 degrees out the door was not frozen just the electric lock. the truck unlocks and the passenger door also unlocks. and being a coupe its a real pain in the butt to crawl over the console. Has anyone else had this issue???

Will it unlock using the key in the cylinder ??

28 degrees, is rather warm really.

No it would not open that way either. i think it has to be a door seal issue allowing to much moister in the door panel or really bad insulation issue on that door.
either way the Dealer does not want to replace another Door lock mechanism. i took me driving to work for 25 minutes and high heat during that time for it to thaw enough for to unlock

You could open a ticket with America Honda.

28 degrees is nothing, compared to what some folk have to deal with.

Normal to get water inside the doors, they have openings at the bottom for draining it out.
