Auto headlights

Hi...I have a 2020 Civic and can't seem to get the auto headlights/high beam system to work consistently. The "A" indicator will come and stay on for a few cycles, but then will turn off after a few seconds when starting the vehicle a few start cycles later, and the automatic highbeams no longer work (the headlight indicator stays on, but the "A" disappears). I've tried the reset multiple times, and for some reason that only works when I'm actually driving the car. Then it goes back to working properly--where the headlight indicator and "A" both stay on...but only for a few times. If I'm parked and pull the stalk towards me until the "A" flashes once the system doesn't work. It's annoying and is firmly in the category of first-world problems but still I find myself bothered by it. Any ideas?

Re: Auto headlights

Still under warranty? Take it back to the dealer.

Honestly, I would never use the auto high beams as I don't think it's consistent enough for my liking. I can't stand basic auto on/off headlights either so maybe it's just me.

Sure, still under warranty but was hoping someone had some experience with this and an easy fix before I spend an eternity at the dealer for a minor issue like this. I actually like the way the auto head and high beam system works, when it works.

Agreed take to the dealer,
And I don't like auto lights, especially auto high beam, either.
mind you I'd still have crank windows and manual locks if I could

My only experience with the auto high beams was riding in the back of my in-laws Accord one time, so I might not be a good judge. I wish we could help you but I think it's just too new for anyone here to have much experience with yet.

Hi, did you find a solution for this. I have the same car, same issue.
