2017 auto on headlights
LX model auto on headlights worked for first week. Brought vehicle in for interior protective coating. Auto-on headlights no longer working. When manual headlights are switched to auto (column), exterior lights go off and interior transmission shift and door handle lights go off.

No, not familiar with the system.
The Hondas lately have 2 brightness settings for the cluster & other dimmable lights. One setting when lights are on, and 2nd one available for when lights are off.
Not sure about the auto headlights feature though.

A mechanic I have known for a while did some checking....found that there is no fire in the dash-mounted sensor. Anybody ever heard of this....a bad sensor on a two week old vehicle?

However, if the dealer notices that 'someone has been in there already', you could run into problems getting it repaired under warranty.
