Hi everyone. My first post here. Thanks for allowing me to join.
My problem: I have a 2017 Honda Civic hatchback touring hatchback that I have owned since new. Last night the weather was 34 degrees F and when I started it i received many mechanical
warnings on my dashboard, (See below pictures.) The car started fine and the engine ran fine. Most notable was the loss of power steering with the engine running. I allowed the car to
warm up and no change. I did some research and although opinions abound, it seemed to point out a low voltage battery situation. Since the battery was the original one, I suspected it was
the problem. It tested at 11.6 volts and my battery tester, indicated a "Week" to borderline "Good" battery condition, (Harbor freight tester.) Before I replaced the battery I did the "Reset" using
the audio power button for 5 seconds and waiting for the Honda logo to finish while it reset. That reset worked as it should but did not get rid of all the dashboard warnings. Knowing that I could
possibly erase the codes if I disconnected the negative battery cable for at least 10 minutes, (But this may not give the Honda mechanic/tech person the fault codes he needs) I did it.
well, that did not work. So I replaced the battery with a brand new battery from Autozone, (Tested at 12.6 volts and "Good" on my battery tester.) I installed the new battery and it went through
a self reset on my middle screen. It then asked for the pin for the audio, (So far so good.) but when I used the start button to go in "Accessory" mode, all the faults on the forward screen were still
there. I did another reset using the audio button with no luck. I checked for the possibility of a rodent chewing wires, (This was the cause of another similar issue with a online problem) and the
engine bay seems undisturbed. I started and turned off the engine many times with the warnings still there.
Ok, so anyone with a possible solution?
PS: I am mechanically inclined
as I restored vintage motorcycles 5 days a week.
Thanks in Advance.

*All the warnings the cycle in Accessory or engine on mode:
low electrical voltage can light a Christmas tree on dashboad, electronics do not like it.
lower temps can quickly kill an older battery
I understand the thermal properties of batteries caused & effect and what a under voltage can do to the system. I did state that I had put a new battery in that stress tested good with good voltage.
So, I know it's not that. Thanks for posting. Maybe Honda can find the answer?
Solved. The power steering connector wire had been chewed through by a rodent of some type. This has happened to a different civic online also. The fix is about 4 hours of labor cost at the dealership.
Glad you got it figured out. I had a Christmas tree on my 2018, and it was electrical related. I initially went to the dealership and they wanted a $150 diag fee. Said screw it, grabbed my toolkit out of my cargo area, disconnected neg terminal and reconnected it and made sure it was snug. Lights went away. No rodents (not a huge problem in Vegas), just a slightly loose negative terminal is what I chalked it up to be. Happened again when I installed my HID relay harness and didn't put enough elbow grease into reconnecting a ground wire. No issues since. *knocks on wood*
