Battery problems
Battery problems
I am so confused whats going on with my 2018 Honda Civic EX-T. I was gone for summer for about 6 weeks and when I came back the battery died. Nothing inside was turning or none of the lights or anything on the dash were lighting up as it was completely black. I tried jumpstarting my car twice and both times when I go to attach my ground after attaching the other 3 cables in the right order, it sparks and the front light turns on and the horn goes off. I don't understand what I am doing wrong I thought this should be just an easy jump start but I don't understand why the sparks are going off and the car is honking. Is my battery completely dead and do I need to get it replaced or what? Any help would be appreciated, I am relatively new with cars and this is my first one. I did not carry through with the jump start both times I tried because of the sparking as me and my friend don't understand why this is happening along with the horn as I am attaching my jumper cables in the right order.

Re: Battery problems
2018 should have full warranty
call dealer and ask if they pay to tow the car under warranty?
or borrow someone's battery and connect to your cables to see if it works.
