Car Battery's Acting Weird - Help!
Car Battery's Acting Weird - Help!
So my car didn't start up.. no interior lights, nothing. So I think I must've left something on. and my car needs a jump start.
But after getting out of the car and literally hitting my battery a couple of times.. car started up like usual.
Anyone ever experience this? Is this something Honda can fix? My friends say it happens from time to time on his car and all he has to do is open and close his door.

Wow lot of people are having battery related problems lately ... Including me... This is interesting.. Just get it checked out by the dealer and hopefully its under warranty... That's what I'm gonna do soon..
I got it checked out by Sears.. they said "whoever" installed stereo on my car didn't know what they were doing.. the connections were not tightened enough on my battery.
That "whoever" was me. DARNIT!

Also a lot of times even with tight connections, a film develops betwen the post and clamp. You can't see it, but if you wipe the terminals it's a black residue.
That film acts like an insulator. I have found that those red and green washers do a great job at netralizing the acid film that builds up over time.
I have had the same happen to me as well. Clean the posts and contacts real well, tighten everything down, and put a film o vaseline over the terminals. The vaseline keeps air away from the metal so it won't oxydize.
Or..... buy a totally sealed OPTIMA.
not me last winter i had a battery problem, my car all of the sudden turned all lights in dash and it was turning off i put a very good battery Ultimate from autozone and it's been very good active last longer and what honda offers it's a little expensive but worth it ranther not push the njust start and go...
