Maintenance minder
Maintenance minder
2019 Civic Sport Sedan, new to me. Recently did something that caused the Maintenance Minder function to display. The owner's manual shows how to scroll through and reset the various items, but I would like to turn this feature off, can't find out how to do that. Can someone help?
Re: Maintenance minder
If it's the maintenance minder that comes on every 5k miles or whatever it is, you cannot disable it. It's there for a reason. That said, it only takes maybe 10 seconds at a time to clear.
Re: Maintenance minder
OP here. we have always maintained our vehicles, no nannies required. This one insists on defaulting to the low tire pressure warning despite correct tire inflation. Regardless of which item is selected, at some point the tire warning appears, when changed, sooner or later it returns.
My home garage is well equipped- has automotive lift, air compressor has digital tire inflator, full set of auto tools and diagnostic meters. I'm well aware of the need for maintenance.
Something is apparently up with the software for this so-called "feature" and the owner's manual is no help.

Re: Maintenance minder
i think 10th gen uses the tire revs to calculate the difference in tire pressures.
it had to be reset? and then drive a while? My 2015 CX-5 is the same, tire rotation, pressure adjustments and it triggers tire pressure.

Re: Maintenance minder
Does your system default to tire warning regardless of the selected item in the Minder?
Re: Maintenance minder
Yes, the manual for this car leads you by the nose to do a reset, on page 556(!) of 669 pages (!! a major document). BUT- that procedure has not corrected the issue of the tire monitoring screen insisting that the tire(s) are low and overriding the chosen display of odometer and average fuel economy, which (I think) is meant to be the default. I can get that screen to display, in the garage, but then when driving, that tire message takes over sooner or later.
Just now went thru the steps again, I'll see what happens the next time on the road.
