Help with part name

Noticed a leak today coming from under the metal bracket/casing. Does anyone know what it is? Looked like a plastic cover had cracked

Re: Help with part name

not a Gen 10th car thing, more like a mechanical issue - denial that they have an issue.

Re: Help with part name

Looks like the passenger side of the engine. The oil fill cap is over there, could just be some leftover from a spill.

Re: Help with part name

I saw you posted on civicx, also. I don't think the reply there is correct. Dude over there said it was the VTC oil control valve, but that's more on the aft side of the engine. For everyone's reference, dude has a 19 civic sport sedan, and those have the 2.0L non-turbo engine.

#7 on this diagram is the oil control valve, and as you can see, it's part of a cylinder head diagram

Now.. what you're pointing at really does seem like it's the passenger side engine mount. Here's a non-OEM one I found via google images. Sure, the pic is looking at the backside of it, but you can tell that it's pretty much what you're looking at in your pic

It's either spilled oil like @BrotatoChip said, or something behind that is spitting oil and following down the mount. It is kinda far from the engine itself as you can see here

But... there's a slight possibility that like.. a valve cover leak or whatever that little plug thingy is on the side of the engine is leaking. Found a stripped down pic of the 2.0L non-turbo on ebay for reference

Also a very real possibility that it's a fluid filled mount (I'm not sure if it is or not), and that's broken and leaking. Notice any increase in engine vibration?
