Well someone wants these

to be lighted up when door is open. Now I know how to test which wire under the steering column, but you think it's strong enough to power these? These are 12volt BTW.

Can we use your sunfire to test it? I need access to undercolumn, and a test light to see which one is the doors.

lol....
Run the Positive wire to the battery.
Run the Negative wire to the ground wire for the door switch.

Also... buy a voltmeter if you wanna test how much current certain wires are running off. Most wires should be running 12v anyways.

I agree, this is probably the best way to do it.

How do I run it off the battery, its 12v because thats the voltage of the dome bulbs, its the current that matters. The wire under the steering column is positive though... hmm help?

Oh man..you have to wire neaons right to the battery or the fuse panel..perid. You can use a relay to the door ground switch, but it needs it's own ground. The wiring in the civic is all 18 or 20 guage and is too small to support that much current draw.

Honestly, not to be rude but I don't think you should do this by yourself. It seems like you've never done anything like this before. Get a friend or someone who knows what they're doing to help you.
