can someone reccommend an alarm for me?

hi, i just got my civic and would like to get a cheapo alarm to mainly prevent retards from breaking into the car for spare change....i never leave cash in there anyways but druggies seem to always raid my block every few months...

all i really need is something that'll make some noise when someone tries to break in(must go off before they break the window)

as all of you probably already know, 7th gen civics already have an immoblizer....

any alarms out there that doesn't have a starter kill but has maybe a paging or remote car starter feature? how much should those cost?

anyone think i can get a usable alarm for around $200cdn installed?
it must not go off too easily...

i was looking at an Alpine unit that sells for $279...forgot the model#...

its gonna be really hard to find an alarms installed for $200. ur looking at a walmart brand with self installation.

there are some alarms that go for 3 installed but in order to get other features like the ones you want it could very easily go up to 5 np.

i know future shop have decent alarms , and i think anything over like 2 includes basic, basiic installation

yah dont know bout that 200 bones alarm it's not gonna be good at all you can go to a flea market i guess and get one .......why didn't u just get the factory alarm that honda offers isn't it about that price???

any good alarm is gonna be around 400 - 500 bones ......so just chillout on the mods till you can get one that is proper.....and they are gonna tell u about starter kill tell them you dont want it it's gonna be added to the install you got a chip so it's not needed

i got a VADAR and its pretty good no complaints to say....just do a search on alarms in this forum and see what people are sayin .....the compustar does have some problems i'm hearing so dont get that one but do check around stores and see the other name brands and see what people say about it here by SEARCHING
