I was looking for advice from some locals about my suspension. I want to replace my shock and struts since they're leaking, i thought i might as well chang ethe coils while i'm at it. So earlier today i went to JRP and found tein SS coilovers for $1300. I was wondering if thats a decent price or if anyone knows of another place and/or product worth looking into.
FYI its for an 03 ES1
Thanks in advance

its not a bad price for teins but the upper mounts are worth the extra money. And i dont like jrp they told me that tein washers would cost $80 and 2 trips to toronto (prolly at least $40 in gas) because they dont do special orders online or over phone blah blah blah. Wen i can get the same washers for 17 shipped no duty from ksport. But tein has great parts.

Okay before I say anything else, the advice and tips from everyone has been extremely helpful and I wanted to thank you all.
So I’ve been looking at a bunch of brands; correct me if I’m wrong, but Tein’s and Megan’s are sticking out as the better bang for your buck (quality, ridding style, and lifespan wise).
Once again I’m seeking knowledge. I’m going to use my car mostly for street I don’t race and I’ll probably be hitting the track once a year with friends, and it’s just for advance driving school or for fun.
So in your advice is it worth getting the coilovers or does anyone suggest mixing and matching coils with shock and struts. If you've mixed and matched please list your parts and a rating.
I hope I was able to get my point out. Thanks in advance again.

get the megans, im pretty sure you can get them at option with taxes in for the price on thier site, bargain with em or bargain with battleendless ( i never bought there before) . megans are readily available locally and are bout 400 bucks cheaper and come with adjustable camber , so it depends on you really
i personally have ground controls and konis and the ride is stiff and im pretty sure my one of my front shock is blown

you said daily driving and once in a while at the track? i would suggest a good combo of Tokico HTS/D-spec and Eibach Sportlines! adjust the dampening setting on the struts to soft spec when driving around the city and when your ready to hit the track then adjust to the stiffest!
this is also what i have on my ride...and i'm loving and enjoying it!

they're 2 years old, but i only drive in the summer.
I'm guessing maybe 30k.
If you're serious, you can take a ride before i take them off the car.

hey guys after some time researching i think i'm going to buy the megans when i cross the boarder next weeken (hope the dollar keeps going up !!). But i seep people's opinion on this matter. are megans reliable? worth the $? Installation, will i have to make and kind of mods to install them? Are they safe? Some manufacturers have a disclaimer witch actually sates that there product is not safe for street drivin (I know they are just rying to cover there legal asses)? And so on.
Thanks in advance everyone...
