MONTREAL area: General Discussion
I run KVR cross-drilled rotors and CF pads. The rotors are good but the pads suck. Of course I might crack the rotors with some good Hawk HP+ this spring, I'll find out after afew laps around St-Eustache. Brembo plains and HP+ is the best combo in my opinion.

What do you think? (like it or not, this is what I want!!!!)

I may remove my front grill like Jamie_civic, if I can find a way to do it nicely!

Seriously, I am not planning to drop the car this year, so with 17" I'd look like a 4x4!

Hey Simpaty, i have a set of used Eibach Prokit for sale.........Let me know if you want them. There a great alternative to the MUCH more expensive coilovers. There is a nice drop but not to much so that you wont be able to drive in the winter! And the biggest plus is the fact that you save some MAJOR cash to use for something else. Let me know if you are interested!!

My 2 CAI are not the same form and with different bracket size.....
I got a TenzoR that is in good shape and a Ingen scratched + that the filter was scrued in the shipping of the shocks.
I wanted to install a AEM air bypass valve to make sure Decarie don't kill my car this summer with their flood...

Well an intake is mostly for sound, and look if you like to photoshoot under the hood! Don't expect too much performance... (it's in our head, when we hear the sound!)
I think the larger the piping the louder it will be (but the design may affect also)...
If I were you, I'd sell the better looking one, the one that I can have a better price for it! Because, after all it's: "the same ****, different names"!
As long as you have a good filter on it, you'll be good.
A good point to check, it's the "heat-resistance", if one is better to reflect heat, go with it! Some cheap piping may collect heat, what you don't want in a CAI!
There is some bypass valve on sale at RMR...

The two holes: one is the breather for the engine, and the other one is for the temperature probe...
If you look on the pic (the SRI I am trying to sell...)... the breather is the blue tubing up-front, and the temperature probe is the black thing connected to a wire on the side of the SRI.

Well... my wheels painting has officially started today and the point of no return has been crossed...
I applied the paint remover (to remove the clear finish) on the wheel, this morning. I am waiting for it to do his job, then it's sanding time. Hope this remover will work, it will simplified my life!
For fun, I am taking picture of the process (or the mess!), I'll show you the results if you want...
I still need to find a non-glossy (in french: mat) clear to obtain the color I want at the end.

The paint remover did not work as expected... The clear is still on! That's cool to know that OEM finish is good afterall! But for my project it's not fun, I'll need to sand a lot to remove the clear coat
. That will take a lot of sanding paper...
Hope I will like the end result, cause it's a lot of job!

Here is the first one, sanded at 80 (top = before). All the scratches on the lips and marks on the wheel are gone.
Now I will sand it with 200, to smooth the surface. Then primer/ wet sand at 600 / Paint.
But I will first sand all the wheel to 200. Then I will apply the primer on all the wheel at the same time.
BTW, I finally found a "Satin clear"... will see the result! I hope it's not gloss!!!

You should repair the one that is broken and sell them at a higher price (to cover the repair). I guess it wil be easier to sell.
Good luck anyway! I must go back screwing my new wheels!

Think at it this way, if you screw the wheels, you'll just have to sand them back and start again with more experience....
I'm preatty sure you'll do ok!

Hans, does that cosmo sri clear the hood properly? Looks above the strut bar in your picture and that lean on my thinking that it would hit..

It was either hiting the hood or the strut bar, depending on how it was installed.
For somebody without a strutbar, it was perfect... not my case. That's why, if you look closely, I put some foam on the strutbar on this pic. After a while, I cut about 0.5" of piping on the throttle body side and modified a little bit the silicon coupler, to change the angle of it. Then, it was perfect.
You just made me remember this small modification. Somebody on CCQ may be interested to buy it and I completly forgot to inform him that it was cut and modiifed! At least, it was modified for the best!Do you want it? or it was just an observation?
