I posted on the 1.7 EL thread, but if any of you know: does a rear camber kit of the 1.7EL fit on the civic? What is bugging me is the rear disk on the EL... I guess it don't affect the suspension, but
Because, there is a used camber kit from a 1.7EL on Mtlracing!!!

I assume that 1.7 and civic are the same. Drum or disk brake dont change the control arms....

I sold my CAI because I was afraid of hydrolock
I was travelling on Decarie and Metropolitain and everytime it was raining hard there was a flood... so I took no chance! But I guess I was just chicken...

After primer coat:

I like this flat black
I should paint today, I hope the paint will give the same color...
Finally I'll get some Falken Ziex-512 195/60/15 to go on them... I found a good deal 58.99 each tire! I decided to go with this size because I prefered the look of them, the sidewall is thiner then on 205/60. And I don't think the handling is so much different between these 2 sizes.

FastSi from CCQ, where I'll take the tires, convinced me to take 195/60... hope I won't regret it!
Thinner sidewall = more rigid (well, I guess!!!)
Light weight compare to 205 (well, I guess!!!)
1 cm difference ... big deal! (well, I guess!!!)
Nevertheless, it will be way better than my Dunlop SP20 Fe 185/70/14 than I used for the last 2 years!!!!

Very happy of the result, it's not that tough. But I bought too much paint.
Hope I can bring them back to the store...I just hope that if they get ship, they won't directly return to the chrome color underneath!!!! I sanded everything, put 2 good coat of primer, 3 coat of paint and now 2 coat of clear.... should be ok!
UPDATE:
Well my wheels are done!
The color is far from my original idea (low gloss black)... but it's still cool.
Depending on the angle you look at them and the light hiting them they look between: flat grey, Gunmetal, flat black or very low gloss black...
So it's hard to take a picture that raelly represent what they look like.
Here is a shot taken in the garage:

At daylight they were looking
.... Hope it will look good on the car...Last edited by Redviking; Mar 9, 2006 at 07:51 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I am not 100% happy with the end result, but I'll get use to it. I shouldn't have put the clear coat. Before the clear everything was smooth, now it's kind of rough... maybe I'll need to wet sand at 2000 or something like that to smooth them....
I am getting the tires installed today, I'll see what I'll do next...

I strongly recommand Helie'N'sport http://www.heliensport.ca/ if you need something! Ask for Sylvain (FastSi on CCQ). Very low price and good service!
