Just a question regarding the "resetting" of the SRS light. I have a 97 Civic, and the SRS light has been on for a couple of months. At the dealer, the guy said that this light meant that the airbag WOULD NOT deploy in the event of an accident. Anyone else been told this? Or is it just a scare tactic? They said to fix it would require a 4-5 hundred dollar chip. Any advice? I really want the airbag to work, as I value my skull. Thanks.
