speedtec quoted me 700 for paint and install on my rear and sides. c'mon 700 for just the rear and sides?

TenTen autobody service, it is right beside Wheels Direct
ask for Mathew, cuz he is the one who did everything on my car (bumper, repaint, install...etc) and it looks nice and didnt charge me arms and legs.
call 416-292-7338 and tell him Ken with the silver 4 doors 01 civic is your friend and he will give u good rate.

I went to a place I had some insurance work done on my old car in Milton to ask about getting just my rear lip painted/installed, he said around $200. I thought that seemed like a lot (see my thread in CanEast main) but I guess if you think each side is about the same as a lip, 3x$200 = $600 not far off from the $700 you got quoted.
I'm going to give iamfob's guy a call this aft., although it's quite a bit out of the way for me, if the place in Milton is comparable or not too much more its much simpler for me to get it done there.

Rep Power: 0 update, I talked to Mathew at TenTen, he said it would probably be aorund $200 just for painting, he'd have to see it to tell me how much for installation. So I guess my local guy's price was pretty fair.
yeah i told my buddy to call em up and thats why they quoted him for my kit. lol... thats just too much ive understand 500 .. but not 700 >,<
ah well.. im gonna try something tonight if it works out ill just need paint.

I just called that Matthew guy at TenTen. I needed the front fender replaced and painted. He quoted me $700 including the part. That is almost as much as Honda is charging!!!!! I asked him how much te part was, he told me $200. Then I confronted him with the truth telling him I knew the part was $140 from the dealer. He responds by telling me, yeah but plus taxes, and I said that is only $161 !!!! Basically, he is trying to upcharge me on the part. He could have told me it was $140 plus taxes. I am just trying to give a balanced view of this shop, you are left to make ur own decsions. These shops are just out to skin us alive. I did not even let him finish, I thnaked him for his time and said goodbye.
I am tired of dishonest people!!!!!

mathew charged me $650 cash for a brand new bumper from dealer, paint it, install it and taxes included
i called honda dealers x3 (all in mississauga) and the parts guy told me the rear bumper alone is $339 each plus 15% taxes

i went to velocity and the guy wanted 120 for the paint for my front lip. im like wtf? .. that much, some one offered me 75 for that same job. krazy!!!!

yo draven, any hookup to install oem side skirts on my car (mine is real oem honda parts but missing the brackets and i can't get them from the dealer cuz they simply dont sell it)
i dont want 3M double side tape, does your shop or your friend's shop make custom brackets nad install the skirts?

thanks draven but i somehow managed to get the oem brackets from the dealer. just tell them u want the sideskirts for 2001 civic coupe and they will sell it to you and it costs $37.46 for all 8 brackets with screws
by the way, do u have any oem sedan rear lip sitting around? cuz i need the rear lip to complete my kit. let me know. thanks
