Well, we're looking at Coleman Park, and I believe we've decided to do it in June, but we haven't set a date yet.
EternalVtec, can you give us an idea of how the parking is at this park? I don't want any more flack from Supermex about not being able to see all the cars at once . . .

Colemans is nice and shady so if its like 101 degrees outside like it is this year. We won't be roasting outside. The lot is huge and we can definitly fit the whole crew. If my vote counts in any way. I would go to Coleman's. Plus theres a large swimming pool there also. Saw some pretty nice ladies and chica life guards when eternal took me there.

now what do you guys think about meeting somewhere else and then participating in a caravan to get to the park? Or should we just decide amongst ourselves if we wanna meet up and travel in a group to the park? I dunno about you, but I loved being part of that line of civics

a caravan sounds cool, but it depends on where most people are comin from, i was thinking maybe two or three, heres a look into my thoughts, ---
Caravan one, led by Kiry(Jadastyles): he could park at the restaraunt/gas station across the road from the PA turnpike(I-76)'s exit. from there he can lead a caravan to the meet. the only problem is that between 76 and the park is about 20 red lights, thats 20 chances to get everyone split up. well work something out.
Caravan two, led by Scott(2Hottie):he can park some where on 78 where the exit off of 95 comes on, ill talk it over with him, but hell then lead the caravan down 78, onto 72, and to the park. this will be a pretty easy task because its just three red lights from 78 to the park.
Caravan three, led by Isaac(EternalVTEC):ill pick up everyone that is cruisin up from the south on 83. ill go pretty far south so that there is less of a chance of getting lost. this route has a pretty big construction area when you get closer to hbg, so that will be a hurdle for us. then well get off 83 onto 78 , then 22, and then 72 to the meet.
now a few things that i recommend we do to help these caravans be more organized:
1. i recommend that most, if not all, get a two way radio, or exchange cell #'s(if aplicable), with the caravan leader, and/or myself, and whoever they are cruisin up with, i.e. i came with neo and someone else(sorry i dont remember who) last time. that way if someone does get split up due to traffic, lights, etc., we will be notified and will be able to get you back with the caravan.
2. to make things easier, i strongly recommend that we all drive in the "slow lane". i know for a lot of you, including myself, this will be a tough task, but to achieve the best orgonization, it is needed, unless the caravans are less than 10 or so cars.
3.baisicly, drive like a grandma, lol.
now, i was hoping that mex could do the thing with the map again where he puts a star for everyone. that will help me a lot, heres why.
im going to make lists for the caravan leaders of people that are going to be in their caravan. theyll do a head count, and when they have everyone that is going to be prompt, theyll head to the park. driving times will be figured in, so that when we know when the meet is going to start, we can plan for everyone to arrive at about the same time. there will be a time frame for everyone to arrive at the designated caravan starting points, and a departure time.
now for those who wont be able to make it on time and will be arriving later, detailed maps and directions will be made and given to those who will need them.
im also going to want to meet with will/kimela(sorry if i spelled it wrong), rob, kiry, scott, and maybe mex one weekend. i think this will be our main committee members, unless im forgetting someone. we will go over what ive talked about here, and more.
this is all i have for now. sorry for the long post, i tend to think in detail. but i think overall its for the better.
gimme a yell back w/ ideas, comments, etc.

Dude, Issac's car got egged? That sucks! I am sorry, what is wrong with some people??? No one can ever appreciate something that is not theirs, let alone a car that is really nice. People need to grow up. I'm sorry, maybe I am just in a sour mood...just got back from the bar and some a$$es were giving me dirty looks...sorry to vent guys!

Two way radio's(we'll have a reserved channel)\

Hmm should we make signs just incase someone gets lost.
Also i will volunteer to run out and find people if they call my cell and tell me they are lost

Any weekend in september looks ok, except on Friday september 13th i am getting my wisdom teeth out so that weekend, i might be in lots of pain and can't talk
. Other than that it looks open to me. Hey Viz, i think we should car pool if we are just going up to look at the park and set some plans. Seems dumb to take two cars, but we can talk about it.

Another good idea is that we can make up signs that say "Caravan 1" or Caravan 2 and post em on our windows...so everyone knows which caravan they are in...we all have the same cars just abaout, so I think that would be a good way to play follow the leader so to speak...

Hey what's up guys. I'm completely new to this site...only been on for a couple of days. Haven't done anything to my car yet because I just got it a couple weeks ago, but I was wondering If it'd be alright for me to go to this meet comin up in sept. It'll gimme a good chance to see all the different possibilities of the civic.
Like I said, I've only known bout this site for a couple of days, but already I'm lovin it.
<The best Civic site ever!>

Anyone interested in starting a convoy from N. VA allllllll the way up to PA? PM me or just post a response. We can most likely get that together, (but by that time I may have a GTI or Celica GTS, but I'll still go
).
).
