My brother has a 95 eclipse and its lowered, amongst other things, and now sometimes he needs to raise it up cause it bottoms out on almost everything. so he wants to get coilovers or airbags, but im not sure that coilovers will work casue he has lowered springs.... Does it still work? and how much are airbags, or where can i find them? any help would be great!
bags are expensive, I heard around $2000 for the whole setup I could be wrong though. If he wants to have it higher only sometimes, bags are the only way to go. If he wants it to constantly be higher change out the springs.
Yeah, swap out the springs or get coilovers. He can adjust the height on coilovers to his preference, but it's a set height that can't easily be changed every day. Whenever you get the height changed on coilovers, you're technically going to need a new alignment.
I might be wrong, but isn't the ride quality on airbags pretty bad??? *shrugs*

he really wants airbags, but think they may be too much. not just to buy them but also to have them installed. so his other thought was coilovers, but he has lowering springs on his car now, so can you put a coilover on a lowered spring?

no , coilovers come with springs on the sleeves already, u dont use stock springs at all, my suggestion would be to get coilovers, they're pretty easy to adjust so long as u dont get the cheapo ones. try ground control, since he has springs im pretty sure hes got aftermarket shocks to get rid of the damn bounce.

Silver is correct. And yes, bags are around 2000 for the set, it would consist of 2 bags for the back, and 2 bags with struts for the front (fwd). You might be able to get a kit for around 600-800 and install it yourself though.

Coilovers are adjustable springs with integrated shocks. You just take the whole thing out and put in the coilover. That is true coilovers of course. I don't thinkg airbatgs are worth and there is little chance u can find a kit under $1500 new. I also would NOT install them myself. There was someone selling one in the market place.
