I have to go because of my ticket. It's 4 hours long. What should I expect? Is there a test or something at the end?

the test is basically common sense, I had to take a defensive driving course for my job. I am a park ranger and they make you take one to drive government vehicles

it's not bad. i'm going back just for the drunk goggles part. that was fun. we just watched videos and napped. some people played their gameboy, others listened to music. i had homework for english, so i did that. i went 3 days, mwf for 2 hours a day, so it was pretty much just doing homework the whole time. however, most places won't let you do that. they make you sit and watch the video or do some interactive test thing that i didn't understand.

A: Slam on your brakes and turn the vehicle sharply
B: Floor the gas pedel and hope the deer runs out of the way.

Defensive driving is one of the most boring and mind-numbing experiences you will ever go through. But if you manage to stay awake you might learn a small thing or two. I've been to the so-called 'comedy defensive driving schools' and they're not really all that - so I wouldn't recommend paying extra for those.

Try to go to one that serves you free lunch.

like the instructor at the class i took said "this class is nothing but simply 4 hours of sitting through videos and listening to me talk, it's the state's way of torturing you for being bad."

it's basically sit down and watch a couple videos for 4 hours and then you have this stupid test easier than a+b=c

OH, OH, I KNOW! I KNOW!

first, A, slam on the brakes and turn the vehicle sharply. This way you come to a stop quickly, and can use the door for
C, pull out a 12 guage and put some buckshot into the deer. You use the door sill to rest the gun, so you get a nice clean shot.
Then, B. But that's a trick answer. The deer won't get out of the way. You have to load it into your trunk, then floor the gas pedal, and hope no one saw you hunting out of season.

I have been to the drving school in Illinois a total of 7 times. Which one are you going to ? If it is Daley College it is the best of all of them, the teachers want to get you in and out since they dont want to be in the neighborhood. Last time it was only 3 hrs. All you are going to do is sit and watch some vids, a little group discussion and thats it. There is no written test to turn in.
