500HP Focus...
I was at work today (Library) and came across the new Auto Week May 19th magazine. On the cover I read 500 Horsepower focus, I had to read to believe. Sure enough there is was. A company called Accurate Technologies (ATI) swaped a SVT Cobra V8 engine into a Ford Focus SVT model. The swap is not just a project car either. In the article is says the swap is offered to the public. The only thing that hurts is the cost. They estamated the swap around 69,500, that comes with a 24,000 mile warrenty from ATI. I thought that was insane both the focus and the price. This is a freaken sleeper focus. I had to share with the site as soon as I read the article. Not sure if this was posted yet though? Imagine running that at the track. You might be able to take him on the start because of so much wheel spin.

It's funny... you look at every Integra/RSX that's been made and you can say, "it's still a Civic." Because it is.
Now you can look at every Focus and be a bit hesitant to say, "it's still a Focus" for the fact that it could rape 94% of anything considered a Civic.

Rep Power: 0 Buy the Cobra and put the extra money that was left over from the 70,000 into performance work on the cobra.
imagine a cobra with $35,000 worth of performance mods done to it, that should be able to easily reach over the 500 hp mark

Rep Power: 0 35k mods on a cobra would blow your mind. Hell for 8k in mods you can hit 400rwhp in a GT, and a cobra is easily twice as good as a GT stock.
I agree, its a waste of money on a focus. I hate Ford Focuses.
