Rep Power: 0 Librarian 4-door models, OMFG... that insult takes the cake.
EDIT: The Civic's design (coupe and Si/Type R) were all derived from the Focus.
Honda (in America) succeeded with it's appearance. It's kinda scary seeing both cars from the back... their taillights look the same... the signal, brake AND reverse light is in the exact same place.
The Si/Type R... being born in the UK... I read Honda wanted it to look like the Focus intentionally. It looks better than Ford's hatch. As for the Civic Si Vs. the Focus SVT, I wanna hear more about that... I dunno crap about the Focus SVT but people are saying it'll own the Si.... how so?
I can't think of nothing more to say when it comes to comparing the two. Everyone should know Ford isn't a reliable car maker. If people like it better than the Civic, good... that's their problem... and their financial problem. You may see a lot of the Ford Focus now but I bet 7-10 years from now, you'll still see more 7th Gen Civics.

Rep Power: 0 I really dont see much similarity between the focus and the civic, except for the tail lights of the coupe vs. the focus sedan, they really are quite different, the Civic is pretty much an evolution from the previous gen, while the focus was a completely new design.
As for the Mondeo, its been already introduced in Mexico and I can tell you its quite a good looking car, unfortunately it has the same guts (engine, transmision) as the contour/mystique, which means probably the same problems that plagued those models are going to be present on the Mondeo.
Actually the new one is so big it now competes with the Accord

Rep Power: 0 The Si should've started out at THAT price.
If I'm not mistaken, the Focus and the SVT were released before th 7th Gen Civic and the new Si... so... how could Ford be the copycats? Bah, it doesn't matter...

Rep Power: 0 If you look @ the price the of the SI and SVT they are all most the same becasue the SI is around $18,500 fully eq. the SVT is $17,995 but dosen't come with sunroof, if you add that which the SI comes with they are about the same price because the sunroof puts the SVT right @ $18,500. The SI comes w/ everything, the options have to be added it, the SVT allso donsen't have a good audio system standard, but the SI dose.

Rep Power: 0 I read in motor trend that the new svt took the si and the VW golf, but i heard nothing of it beating a SE-R. Personallly I prefer the honda's reliabilty reputation, there are a lot of old ford's running ( my friend has a 79 f-150 ranger, runs great) but you do see a lot broken down, maybe it's because of all the ford's they sell

Rep Power: 0 Which is exactly why the Si should be priced lower or is there something wrong with getting more for a lower price minus the performance of the SVT?

Rep Power: 0 Cool civic limo, is that a photoshop? I´ve seen (believe it or not) PT Cruiser limos, and they look quite cool. Just wondering how is a poor little 4 cylinder engine going to move the limos.
As for the SVT vs. Si war, I think both cars are really good and competitively priced, the problem is that a SVT with sunroof will go for the same as the Si, but if you get the Si you still have to get decent rims and tires (or are you going to keep the stock ones and look like a plain econobox hatchback?)
For 18K you should be getting standard 16 or 17 inch rims with 215 tires (If you check out, the SE-R, SVT, and GTI all have nice rims and tires).
As for the Corolla looking better than the civic, don´t think so, in this case I would say the corolla is the REAL COPYCAT of the Civic.

Rep Power: 0 I have a friend with a Focus SVT with nos and i beat him with my 03 coupe in 1/8. But if he uses the nitro it unbeatable.
The true is that the Focus SVT is heavy and it has a slow start.
Make a Test Drive, you'll notice the slow start.
We hadn't test them in 1/4 but at least my civic is prettier, bigger and cheaper (in price, and in gas).

Rep Power: 0 A guy I used to work with bought a brand new Ford Taurus, fully loaded for $22,000. One year later it was litterally worth half that. Fords don't hold their value for ****.

Rep Power: 0 when i was shopping for my 1rst car i was warned by many poeple not to get a chevy. but stupid me ignroed them and got a chevy for 5 grand at a dealers auction. for those of u who knows som1 in the car sales business, u know what a dealer's auction is. but anyway, i got my car for 5 grand and at that time the one i got was retailing for about 7 at dealerships. 1.5 years down the road i spent 2 grand fixing the car and it didnt have that many miles on it. then ended up trading it in for 2 grand! lol i lost 5 grand in a year and a half owning a domestic. the resale value is horrible, will never buy a domestic again unless its an escalda, viper or denali
