why yes, it is cheaper, has a stiffer chasis (thx to it NOT being a "roadster" and therefore not what u were in the market for), has more usable HP and even more usable torque, and a few other things. But again, its not what you wanted. This, however, doesnt mean its not a better deal for 90% of everyone else looking for a sports car in that price range.

I absolutely agree with you. You are either looking for a roadster or you're not. It's not like you go shopping for a luxury coupe or sedan or even sportscar coupe and end up with a Z3 or S2000. There are compromises you have to make when getting a roadster... ie, space, cupholders, etc, etc. You're either shopping for a roadster, or you're not.

Id hate to dig up a buried thread but i am trading in on a 350z touring. The car IS pretty damn close to 3800 pounds sitting in the lot. Says so right on the door frame sticker. I have no clue where this 3200 pound thing came from that even nissan advertises. It must be the weight of the car before they drop the engine in it or something. As far as i know, the curb weight of the car is its total weight as it stands fully assembled, combining the weight over the front wheels and rear wheels (correct me if im wrong on this). Anyways, anyone that would be i a position to get a new 350z for the price this year would be stupid not to. No, this car is not in any way in the same class as an s2000 which was primarily geared towards speed and race where the 350z was built as a vehicle to be enjoyed on a daily basis (not that s200man doesnt enjoy his car everyday, probably sets up a lawn chair in his garage and sits there staring at it, then when he gets tired of that, hops in it and relaxes inside for a while, then of course, takes off and burns just about every smart *** punk who thinks he's your everyday fitipaldi or andretti.) I know for a fact that even 5 years from now, when i get out of my car i will have a smile on my face from the enjoyment of driving a vehicle that i feel was meant for me, and im NOT going to care how much it weighs because as far as im concerned, once you hit the gas pedal you know it owns you.
