RSX Base still better than our civics...
I was checking out the base model RSX's, and i was thinking that the base model is still better than our civics, for not that much more of a price diff. I mean, it still has the 2.0 DOCH 160hp i-vtec engine which isnt too shabby, (the only thing is that it doesnt come with alloy rims and leather interior, but you can always change the rims, and interior if your hard-core), and basically all the other options that our cars have. I guess if u like the body style or the civic then this doesnt apply to you, but im kinda concidering the trade...tell me what you think.

So you trade in what you've got... Lose a ton of money in the trade, plus whatever you spent on mods. And you get 33 more HP. I'd stick to the Swap, for the $6500 that you said, it might actually come out cheaper, considering the trade in loss, not to mention, another 40 HP.

gee, you think honda would actually sell a better car under its upscale aucra badge then its base commuter econo box civic?
Well compare to the EX and the RSX is 4000dollars+ different!! What are you talking about not much more diff? The insurance rate will shoot way high since it is an acura. You should consider all of the above! Then you will love your civic.

Each car has its pros and cons...going from an EX auto to an RSX base auto there is a noticable difference in power. Also you get the luxuries of the RSX...16" alloys, auto climate control etc...however you have to look at it that the Civic will also cost less to insure, and gas consumption will likely be less in the Civic as well.

I don't buy base cars. If I was going to get the rsx it would undoubtedly have to be the type s. I didn't consider it because I thought I needed a 4 door. I wish I would have suffered with a coupe or have gotten a previous gen gsr 4 door.

Actually my car is an LX, which produces 115hp as you all know, so I'm sure there would be a noticable power diff, even if my car were an SI. The acura also has all the "acura luxuries" if you know what i mean. I'm not putting down our civics cuz I do still love mine, but I honestly would be much more content knowing that I have 2 camshafts under my hood.
It was just a thought I had, and since i feel like a know u people well, i figured i might as well tell you and see what your opinions are. And for the insurance thing that you guys were talking about, my insurance would not go up that much more at
all by getting an acura.

An LX Civic to an RSX Coupe isn't bad... but I'm gonna have to disagree with being given the "Acura luxories" when you don't really get as much luxory as Acura puts into their other cars. It's not a bad step up though but I'd prefer the top of the line myself just for the additional stuff it has. When it comes to those "Acura luxories" the Type S is no different.

But I never consider a slower car faster.. sure I won that race, but doesn't make a Windstar or a Civic CX by all means the quicker car. It was just one isolated incident involving a poor driver.
On that note, base RSX is way faster than the Civic EX for sure... despite your couple victories. RSX also handles a lot better.. and brakes a lot better too. From performance point of view, there is no denying the RSX is superior over the Civic.
For economic & utility factors, Civics wins hand down.

Blah it don't mean sheit.. there's a ton of idiots who can't drive out there. I beat a Civic SiR in a rental Windstar before.. and an Eagle Talon TSi in my friend's 96 Civic DX. Obviously I should've GOTTEN SMOKED, but since people can't drive worth crap, I actually did the smoking.
