Edmunds.com says 0-60 time for Altima is 8 seconds, while for Accord it is 9.5... So I dunno. Altima also seems to have a little more torque

Why dont you get a life instead of waisting your time tryin to flame...ohh and the reason why i want to race him in my *moms* accord is because our civics are slow and ive driven both the altima and the accord and they seem to have the same power so i was wondering who would win...sorry i dont have a pimped out civic like you *familyman*, but my *moms* accord can prob whoop your civics ***. Im sorry but i just get annoyed when people think theyre all that.

I was actually looking at this edmunds:

http://www.edmunds.com/used/1999/nissan/altima/4drgxesedan/specs.html?id=lin0066

Basically they say an Altima GXE is one second faster than a GLE, probably because the GXE they tested was a manual...

As for the 9.5 second 0-60 for the Accord, I really hope that was an automatic...

But yeah, I agree that this is somewhat of a retarded race, so the original poster should just go race and find out and bring back the results.

I don't think I'm all that. Just go race and let us all know. Personally, I've never met an Accord that I cannot beat. Both the Altima and Accord are heavy cars relative to a Civic and both are pretty slow. If you're gonna race your mom's car, make sure you ask her first. Or, why not let her do the racing? General rule: if you won't do something in front of your mom, then just don't do it ever. Because chances are it's going to catch up with you at some point and cause you a lot of embarrasement. If you want to race, go to the drag strip. Don't be a fool that gives imports a bad name.

My vote goes to the Altima. I've had the U13 (94 model) and that engine has torque! If you're doing 1/4 mile the race will be over before the Accord *MIGHT* able the catch up.

What? Why?

Anyway, the accord will win if they're both auto speaking from personal experience.

wut kind of work does the altima have besides the intake...cuz i know u said it was all show...but just make sure he didnt do any weight reduction mods and stuff...but either way good luck on the race...tell us how it goes...if u can take it to the strip...be alot safer and u dont have to worry bout gettin busted by a cop and having to explain it to your mom
