Test Drove:2003 Cobra...
Too tired to type all of it in again because of an error but here goes.
Price is $45,520 because of a dealerhship $10,000 markup. (which was clearly written on window sticker).
Exterior: Front hood looks like crap, rear spoiler is ugly as he11. It wraps around the top and back of the car.
Interior:Bucket seats are really comfortable, has a 0-10psi boost guage, but for the most part feels cheap and not worth $45K.
Wheels/Tires: The stock 17" chrome's should be tossed in a junk yard. The goodyear eagle tires are ok but Ford should have gone with a lower profile tire.
The supecharger whine is there so you can definetly hear it, but my dearly departed 96 Vortec S/Ced cobra sounded better. The exaust note sounds ok, but with a aftermarket system, it would probably sound 200% better.
Performance wise: From being inside, it felt like it could just nudge out a SS.
Will go back tonight or tomorow and get some pics and post them next week.
As a Ford fan of the past, I would definetly NOT buy this car and would rather have a Rousche Stage 3 or Saleen 351 (which the dealerhsip had plenty of).
And if any dealership in your area has one and you should for some strange reason want to test drive one, make sure you bring $500.00 for a deposit with you.

Rep Power: 0 Since the body style came along.. it has looked very cheap. I had a 93 5.0.. and loved it... but i got to give ford props in my opinion on the new cobra. Only an idiot will pay the mark-up.. they are making 10.000 of these.. wait until next year.. and pay 2,000 below sticker.. or sticker price. Don't get into a hurry if you want this car... trust me.. you'll get one.. then your buddy will laugh at how much you payed when he payed 10 grand less. The car does high 12's stock.. a SS can't touch that runnin mid 13's... They have upgrades for that supercharger that can put you at around 550 hp. It's awesome. Other than that.. i'd still get the 3rd gen RX-7, or WRX instead.. they both have potential.. but are more reliable than ford.

Ford is definetly not worth it. They are just marking it up because they have no more American competition from GM. Screw them I'd rather pay 15 grand less and get the new RX-8 or pay 15 grand for a used 93 Gen3 RX-7 and mod the hell out of it with the other 30 grand. And you will blow the doors off of anything and everything else on the street.

Read it, study it, and be jealous. The thing does freaking low 12's STOCK. Thats Viper territory...if you are not impressed with this I suggest a "test drive" of the F-14 Tomcat.

Rep Power: 0 Ok, where in this post did I say that I was unimpressed w/ the performance of the car? As far as I could see, I said no such thing. The cars performance was very good, but I was just comparing it to an SS for the sake of the rivalry between those two.

if I had that much to spend on a car... I'd def buy something else thats more practical an will last.. oh yeah not to mention quiet. Sorry to all you mustang fans but I'm not a big fan of the thoaty v8 sound follwing me everywhere

Since the F-Body's dying the Mustang/Cobra automatically gets the title for cheap speed by default, Ford didn't need to make the 03 Cobra, they are only competing with themselves at this point. I think anybody would have to give them
for not sitting on their ***.Don't tell me you just compared new to used (10 years old at that)

While the '03 Cobra IMO is nice... drove one last week, I would rather have a last gen Pettet Bonzai Rx7 for the a little less than a Cobra and would spank that cobra all day long
