Fuel system check valve?
Fuel system check valve?
Is there a check valve somewhere in the fuel system? That way fuel pressure is held after the pump shuts off to make starts easier?
Back story. '03 CRV with ~217k miles. Acceleration wasn't smooth so I replaced the fuel pump and filter. Now I have to prime the system ~5 times before it will start (or crank for an excessive amount of time). With old pump it sputtered just little on starts but didn't struggle like now. Wondering if there's a check valve in the fuel pump. This was a $30 pump on Rockauto (supposedly better than stock), maybe it's just garbage. Or maybe there's a valve in the fuel pressure regulator?
