Battery fuse?
Battery fuse?
What is a car battery fuse for?
Is there any real benefit to the fuse?
Since when did they start putting these fuses on the battery terminal/post?
I havent owned a car in a long time and my last car was a 98 dodge intrepid. Ive never seen a battery fuse before.
I am guessing it protects the electrical system some how. I noticed it today on my gfs Hyundai Elantra 2013. I was confused at first and was like wtf is this?
Did they have this before but the fuse was located in the fuse box with the relays instead?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Battery fuse?
Yep, the engineers decided to make it that way.
Pretty common.
Honda has a few cars that employ similar protections.
