94 - 97 Accord Sidemarker
Does anyone have a template for the 94 - 96 accord side markers from the rear bumper? I just got a pair from the junkyard and I restored them (Replaced lens and painted blacking trimming black) and plan on putting them on my rear bumper once its outta of the paint shop. I know how to wire it fairly simple. I just need the template to cut the holes to put them in. I don't want to make a template and then cut it and find out that I messed it up already and screw up a 400$ paint job.

do you want a template for location? or for the shape?
If its the shape, just trace out the outline of the actual light....then slowly go larger until the plastic bracket fits in the hole.

Location might be helpful as I know there's obstructions that can get in the way. This is goin to be installed on a 7th gen civic. I was thinkin that to but I wasn't really sure how it would work out if traced the outline of the light.

Bill has them on his sedan. I think I remember him saying in his thread that he just traced the housing then cut very carefully until it fit. The location is up to you, you can put it anywhere really.

Yeah I just traced part of the housing. Measure and measure before you start cutting. If I could I'd redo mine and put them down lower on the bumper.

I'm not sure if you are willing to do this or not but do you think i can get a picture of the sidemarkers where they are on your bumper. I just want to make sure we are working with the same bumper style.

Sorry for gravedigging all I've just been busy finishing the bumper at school. Ran into lots of problems including the fact that I was given the wrong paint considering i used the color off the door jam. But anyways this past Monday I was able to install them onto my car they came out great. But my dumb *** forgot to tape off the rest of the bumper so i wont scratch it while cutting and i got a few here and there clear coat rub offs because of the cutting wheel slipping and leaving streaks. there not bad so im not really going to worry about it.
