Alarms???
I went to Car Toys to look at some alarms today and I decided to buy the Python 1000, it came close to $300. Does anyone have an opinion about this brand?? Advise?? What do you use? (I havent made a purchase yet, i'm suposed to get it installed tomorrow)

I'm not familiar with the Python, but I've got a Viper 550ESP. Couldn't he happier with it. My car's never had anything done to it, but there have been a couple of times when I've come back and the alarm had gone off... I'm hoping it deterred someone from doing something they shouldn't have. Also, it locks the doors when I start the car and unlocks automatically when I turn it off... very cool. It's all about the install though, make sure you've got a good shop with certified installers doing the work, or else even a $1000 alarm won't protect much.

I believe Python is apart of DEI, though not as 'big' as Cliffords and Vipers. I will personally go with Clifford since I've heard of nothing but good things about them and I can get one installed for $300 as well. And didnt you just get your Civic a few days ago? You should check out DEI's site and do some comparisons. Wouldnt want to spend that much loot and find out you wanted something better.

Viper and Python are both DEI. They are the cheaper ones to buy, but they are still good. If I had a choice, I would buy a clifford. If you really need one, email me or PM me, I can hook you up with some poeple at Soundtrack.
I got screwed into getting the VIP system with the celica that was a $500 option.
