lemon????

sup guyz....wondering what the correct definition of a lemon car is....would having the engine check light come on 3 times and each time bringing it back to the dealership to check out and saying that nothing was wrong be considered a lemon?

I think to be a lemon it has to have a bigger problem- transmission, engine... at least three times for the same problem. i could be wrong.

my friend is a mechanic and said something about the car being in the shop so many hours out of a 30 day period. not sure if that is correct or not. going to go do a search on the internet to find out.

edit: found this site: LINKIFIED

looks to be that most states it is 3 or 4 repair attempts for the same problem or 30 days out of service (cummulative) during the warranty period.

Nah that wouldn't make your car a lemon. Now lemon law varies from state to state and some states don't have any lemon laws. Here in Cali my car is considered a lemon from what my lawyer tells me. Your best bet if you chose to persue a lemon law filing on your car is to hire a lawyer. DO NOT file an arbitration the way your owners manual states you won't get **** out of it.

I would have to think that with the quality of Honda, you wouldnt have to worry about your car being a lemon.
